VirTra Systems Receives 24-system Simulator Order from Department of Homeland SecuritySeptember 25, 2007HOUSTON, TX - September 25, 2007 - VirTra Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: VTSI). Major General Perry V. Dalby (USA-Retired), VirTra Systems' chief executive officer, today announced the receipt of a 24-system tender from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The 24-system small arms training simulator order included weapon training-conversion kits, and other accessories, bringing the total order to nearly one million dollars. Staggered delivery has been requested, with an initial ten-system order scheduled for immediate shipment.
The IVR® base simulators, marketed through VirTra Systems' partner Ti Training Corp under the trade name Training Lab™, have now generated total sales of 45 full-featured, single-screen small arms training simulators since just this past October.
Major General Dalby commented, "We are pleased that Ti Training's sales have gained significant traction since last fall. The team at Ti Training certainly put together a major effort to win this tender from such a prestigious agency, and speaks volumes about the caliber and effort of Ti Training's sales force."
"This tender award is the direct result of the successful installation of six Training Lab systems previously bought by the DHS last year," commented Greg Otte, Ti Training Corps' president. "The system, expertly designed by VirTra Systems, offers the most requested features in the industry, is portable, and performs as a classroom training adjunct as well as a use-of-force training / marksmanship simulator. We are pleased with the response from our customers and are confident sales momentum within our market will continue to increase."
Major General Dalby continued, "In addition, with our IVR® small arms training simulators now installed in every branch of our military, federal installations with the U.S. Marshals Service and the DHS, multiple international installations, and key law enforcement agency placements such as Kansas City and Charleston police departments, it is clear that immersive training is preferred and has been embraced by the industry. VirTra Systems is committed to continue leading the way developing immersive training simulation products.
"We are further pleased that our sales forecast for 2007 has been increased in the face of several unexpected domestic and international sales requests, including one large custom project. This is a significant development, and I expect a strong showing by year's end," concluded Major General Dalby.
