This theater system features 3-D high-resolution imagery. The 3-D multi-sensory system also features time-triggered scents and wind simulation. The 5.1-channel Dolby® Digital sound system completes the multi-sensory experience.
3-D participants wear linear or circular polarized glasses and see distinctive depth in the screen images.
Polarized glasses deliver much better results for rich color and image depth than traditional “red/blue” or anaglyph 3-D glasses.
The 3-D Multi-sensory Theater system uses a specially-designed silver screen and two precision projectors. The two projectors are synchronized to deliver the depth of field seen through the 3-D glasses' polarized lenses. The projectors can be front or rear mounted depending on the space available and the size and type of screen.
“Real-life” 3-D filming requires a tremendous amount of technical experience with specialized rigs, special camera with filter/lens, or two-camera filming system. We also have the ability to shoot or use existing footage for the experience in conventional 2-D, and through a special conversion process convert the 2-D film to 3-D. Talk to VirTra with your project for the best approach toward achieving your desired results.
Computer-generated 3-D imagery is an alternative development method to 3-D filming. The CG development method delivers impressive results and allows the ability to deliver 3-D scenarios that may be too difficult, expensive, or nearly impossible to produce with conventional 3-D filming techniques. Both development types may be used to accomplish the intended goals of the 3-D experience.
Strengths:
Great visual quality and
high-throughput. Inexpensive reusable polarized glasses and optional “giveaway” paper/film polarized 3-D glasses can be used. Special effects (time-triggered smells, wind, and 5.1-channel Dolby ® Digital sound) complete the experience.
